This modern Ziegler carpet was hand-knotted in new colours and patterns in Pakistan. The design and vibrant colours of this type of carpet impresses in modern interiors. Unlike traditional Ziegler carpets, this carpet does not take up the ornaments of traditional Persian carpets. It has a unique design combined with the high quality of natural sheep's wool and traditional craftsmanship.


Designer rug

Modern designer rugs combine traditional hand knotting with a modern design. The design is still oriented on the typical ornaments of the Orient, but these are presented in a simpler way. This results in hand knotted rugs of excellent quality and in a timeless modern style.

Natural wool

Wool is a natural material that brings important positive properties to everyday life. It is extremely hard-wearing and can easily withstand daily stress. With proper care, it can also live for many decades without showing signs of aging. Natural wool is also dirt-repellent with its own fat content, which protects it from dirt and moisture. Wool is suited for underfloor heating systems. It regulates to a certain degree the humidity in the room and insulates sound and heat.

Knotted by hand

Traditionally hand-knotted rugs still form the highest quality standard among all types of rugs. Depending on the type of knot, the rugs are extremely robust and can last for generations. The finer and tighter a rug is knotted, the more detailed ornaments and patterns can be depicted on the pile. At the same time, a very fine oriental rug requires a much higher manual effort as well as a higher level of experience and skill of the knotter. Thus the knot density also serves as a decisive value factor of hand-knotted rugs. The quality is not directly related to the knot density. A rather coarse rug may well have been made in excellent quality.
